Took a picture of the super moon last month with an iPhone which got me interested in astrophotography. I have an old hand-me-down DSLR (Pentax K100D) and managed to make my first feeble attempt at M42 last night. Not a very good picture but I learned a ton and more importantly I'm totally hooked on astrophotography. I'll share the pic in a more appropriate forum for feedback.

I'm so looking forward to learning from everyone here!
