I'm looking for opinions and real-world experiences with remote imaging, particularly with Starfront Observatories. The advantages seem obvious: Bortle 1 skies and far more clear nights than I typically get here in southern Ontario. I'm seriously considering making the jump because, over the past nine months, my imaging opportunities have all but disappeared. Between work, family commitments, and what feels like an endless stretch of cloudy nights, I've had very little time under the stars.

For those of you who image remotely, especially through Starfront, has it been worth it? Are there any downsides or unexpected challenges you've encountered? If you had to do it over again, would you make the same decision? I'd really appreciate hearing both the positives and the negatives before taking the plunge. Apparently, you can use an Asiair or a mini-pc. I’m not sure how covering the scope by day would work unless I had a flat panel attached(I don’t know if any work with an asiair?)
