Switching to monochrome

I'm thinking of finally switching to monochrome, preferring the 533, I currently have the color version as my optical set with an Askar 91F, which 36mm filters are good and which should I consider?

You don’t need 36mm filters to image with the IMX533, 1.25” are plenty enough. This said, what is your budget?

I found an ad for a Touptek 7x36mm filter wheel with the touptek lrgb filters, but generally my budget is around 1500/2000€

I cannot recommend the Touptek AFW, at all ( I have this one, regrettably). Filters, I’d go with the Scorpio and get a decent FW from PlayerOne. You’d need to budget for NB filters too, again the Scorpio win. That saves a bunch of money and headaches sorting out the FW connection issues.

I just made the same move, been using the asi533MC. I purchased an asi533MM and a set of Antila 1.25 inch 3nm SHO filters. I have only had them a few weeks, but I am very happy with them. I haven’t decided on LRGB filters yet. Not in any hurry.

The offer was 180 euros including filters but anyway I'll look for other FW, I've heard great reviews for the Scorpio filters so I'll probably go for those

I haven’t had the troubles with my Touptek filter wheel that others have alluded to. That said, It’s all anecdotal evidence, even mine. A single experience is close to meaningless. My best advice would be to go with a main brand that fits your needs and budget.
