"Hey Cassio, great choice with the Askar 71F — it's a fantastic little refractor. But since you mentioned you have a Juwei 14 on order, I wanted to chime in with my real-world experience.

I've been using the Juwei 14 for over a year now, and it's been a total workhorse. My setup is a dual-rig with two Samyang 135mm lenses, ZWO 533MM and 585MM cameras, two EAF focusers — total weight around 5.2 kg. The mount handles it with ease.

I've pushed it through -15°C for four nights in a row — no issues, no grease freeze, no stalls. Through the whole winter at -3°C to -5°C, it performed flawlessly. Guiding always stayed between 1.0 and 1.3 arcseconds, sometimes better.

I've captured Witch Head, Horsehead, M13, M3 — all with this mount. It's solid, reliable, and for the price, it's genuinely hard to beat.

A lot of people online talk down on Juwei mounts, but honestly, most of them have never used one. It's not a toy — it's a serious, budget-friendly harmonic drive that actually works in the field.

If you're upgrading from the AZ-GTI, you're making a smart move. The Juwei 14 will serve you well.
