Hi,
I have it, the camera is okay, the driver make me crazy. I use AstroArt and the QHY9 with ASCOM driver for image aquisition and the software tends to stop working out of nowhere. Before AstroArt I used Nebulosity, which was more stable with the latest drivers. But I didn't get the filter wheel working properly since the QHY internal "com port" was broken.

The images are okay, more experienced people could get a lot more details out of the raw data and there are some amazing images taken with this camera. Personally I bought an DSLR again, because it is easier tu use in the field and in the last few weeks I am more interessted in the ASI ZWO 1600 cameras.

i am really happy with the camera, works perfectly with APT and SGP, the filter wheel and the OAG from QHYCCD bolt on together being a solid unit…….. since i moved from dslr to the QHY9S i really don't want to go back……

I am using this QHY9M camera for several years now (in real life not for so many hours as I have mostly terrible weather here in Belgium). Also
still capturing with the "native" EZ-Capture program …
Just in case somebody is doing the same : I had often a program freezing
when interrupting a capture until I discovered that you have to stop
the camera FIRST and THEN the planner (if used). If I stop the planner
before the camera, everything hangs and I have to disconnect the camera
and start EZ-Capture all over …

I am also using the QHY5V for guiding and solar photography with some other troubles, but that is an other story !   smile

Roland

I use the Nebulosity 4 with the QHY-9 camera and motorized filter wheel. The problem starts when I use the Ascom drivers to connect to the camera. In the middle of the capture the system locks up and the filter wheel does not work. It started to improve when, within Nebulosity, I select the QHY-9's own driver and external camera for the filter wheel. In this setup I can make my captures.

Exactly, Roland, I have also experienced that. Always stop the camera first and then stop the planner.
Thanks,
