Hi,

I am installing my setup at E-eye in Spain and I need to calibrate the AAG CW from Lunatico that was showing rain yesterday under a pristine blue sky ;-).

The temperature was 35°C with not a single piece of cyrus but AAG reported Cloudy with the default parameters. I suspect that there might be several parameters settings across the year according to seasons. There are a lot of scopes and AAG CW here and I am sure that a lot of you went through this question of tuning it.

Can some of you share their best calibration that let them sleep without fear and keep their equipments safe too?

Hi,
with a great calibration I generally just need to switch some variables regarding sky temperature in different seasons.
But for other stuff just use: https://lunaticoastro.com/aagcw/cloudwatcher_optimizer.html
For full automation similar to what I use its better to overshoot the numbers than have it be cloudy, observatory roof open and your telescope imaging clouds or rain.

Could it be that the heater was either off or failed or the unit had been powered down for a while and the moisture had not been driven off? That can show inaccurate results.

Thank you Luka and the unit is brand new and has been installed by the technicians of E-eye, as the several tens of them, and it was powered at my arrival for installation and most problably since it was installed and stay powered 24/7 as it controls the ROR. It seems that the values have to be tuned on the basis of real obsevation (as the documentation says) but I was hoping to copy paste the parameters of some others (lazzy geek ;-)).
