In case you don't already have an adapter for EOS lenses, there are two different adapters made by ZWO. Which one you need depends on whether you have a filter wheel attached or not.
The
adapterfor attaching to the
ZWO EFW is only $38 and can be found
here (
https://astronomy-imaging-camera.com/products/accessories/eos-lens-adapter-efw-asi1600/)
However, if you are using the color model without a filter wheel, I think you can use the
EOS-T2 Adapter with adjustable back focus.
The EOS Lens Adapter for the EFW appears to lock reasonably well, but mine actually has a little bit of wobble in it, so I've seen a couple of subs that appear to spontaneously shift in the middle of a session. There is probably a way to rig it to be very tight, but I haven't had enough trouble with that to bother. I don't know if others have noticed that the adapter does not lock as tightly as to an actual Canon camera, but it could also be just my individual instance of the adapter.
Jon, if you still see this thread, do you use the ZWO EOS adapter, and if so, does yours have a little bit of play in it?
