Hi all - I’m curious if anyone has advice or experience with really superior flexible 5.5 x 2.1 mm DC power cables. I currently use an Apertura DC Power Cable. It works well, but I’ve had two instances where the connection at the camera comes just loose enough or jiggles enough to disconnect everything, requiring me to push it back in and restart - not a great situation.

I have an ASI2600MC Air camera powered by this cable off a Bluetti Elite 30 battery. The AM3 mount is powered off 120V AC house current and an extension cord and ZWO adapter. This has never caused problems.

The rig has a ZWO EAF and CAA and an Svbony filter drawer.

I’m specifically wondering if anyone has tried a Kondor Blue cable, but am interested in other more flexible cables as well, or solutions to ensure that the jack stays securely in the camera port. Thanks for any guidance. The Kondor Blue cable link is below.

I’ve had good success with Pegasus cables in general.

but my new favorite is from a company on amazon pushing out heavier duty 14 gauge cables. I’ve been running them on a couple systems now. They’re heavy duty for sure, but the connection has been very solid. I can’t speak for the other gauge cables on their store, but I’m a firm believer in these bigger ones. I wired up a couple pigtails as well as have the extension cables in my systems.

A velcro strap or a dab of hot glue can do wonders…

After years of carefully wiring scopes and having cables fall out during slews, I bought a 5 pack of 5.5/2.1 connectors with 1m cables from Ebay. These particular ones work better because the connectors are Right Angled. The weight of the cable pushes the connected in a circular motion rather than pulling in one direction. I bought right angle IEC power cables for the same reason over decades.
