Has anyone else made this mistake and actually liked the result?

I was trying to do a re-process of the Crescent nebula and made a mistake on the NBRGBCombination stage.  I had my narrowband captures rotated 180 degrees to my RGB and had forgotten to crop them using Dynamic crop.  The result I got was somehow pleasing (from an artistic point of view), so I am going to keep it.  What amazed me was that platesolving still worked on the original image (see end of this post).

Here's the original:

A happy little accident!

Looks to me like the plate solve only matched objects from what i presume is the RGB channels? I'm not too familiar with intricacies of plate solving so can't say why.

Ah, I know that one. It happens when you forget to release the handbrake and someone starts the warp drive. ;-)
