Two Stellavita on the same network

I got a second Stellavita for my second rig (NINA sect members if you’re getting ready to reply with a “switch to Nina” answer just keep walking). I configured them both in bridge mode on my home network.

Unfortunately the app automatically connects to the first one it finds, there is no option to switch from one another and there is no option to disconnect and reconnect using IP addresses.

Anyone has an idea on how I can use them both ? The only thing I can think of is a portable wifi router with wired connections and disabling bridge mode so I could use IP addresses.

The first think comes to mind is get a cheap used second phone or tablet…

That was my first thought but then I’d have the same problem. They could both connect to the same Stellavita.

While you are trouble shooting, also contact Touptek support. I have found their support to be very responsive and helpful.

I did already. We’ll see what they say. As I recall the Asiair allows you to choose when there’s more than one in sight. Hopefully Touptek will implement that at some point

A quick reply from Tiuptek as always. So It does work but it is not as smooth as what i recall from the Asiair. One can‘t switch between Stellavitas from within the app. It’s a 2 steps process each time. Best way to explain is to simply paste their answer.

Dear,Eric Gagne

The Stellavita bridging mode is divided into wired bridging and wireless bridging.

If you insert an external network card and use wireless bridging when using Stellavita:

When using a mobile device:When switching the Stellavita connection, you can first connect to another Stellavita's WIFI network. After successful connection, switch the WIFI network to the home network. At this time, exiting the app and reopening it will also connect to another Stellavita.

When there are two mobile devices: you can connect one mobile device to one Stellavita. If one of the devices is not connected, you can first connect to the WIFI network of this Stellavita, and after successful connection, switch to the home network.

If you are using wired bridging by connecting the router through a network cable:

At this time, the router's backend will display two Raspberry pi devices and allocate two IP addresses.

When using a mobile device:When switching the Stellavita connection, exit the APP first, then reopen it, and enter the corresponding IP address to successfully connect.

When there are two mobile devices: You can connect by entering a Stellavita IP address on a mobile device.

The above steps, you can refer to and try them out.

Thank you for contacting us.

Best Regards,
