Buggers from beyond… Power outage FUBARS system.
Troublesome software again. After an unplanned power outage several days ago I’ve had multiple problems with my remote operated mount. Mostly related to WiFi and a general lack of control.
It seemed to track back to my laptop I use at the mount. So I finally did a Windows Reset on it and reloaded my programs. Slowly fighting my way back into operation.
Things like this are what often does not get mentioned or clarified to John Q. Public when they decided to dabble in Astrophotography. The struggle is real.
Today, after losing 3 nights due to fiddling with my App’s, I finally have the system working fairly as normal as I can tell again. I had to finally connect my Laptop to the WiFi inside, then take it out back while on and plug in the power supply at my mount in order to teach it to connect to my router.
Just another of the dumb and frustrating Ben Dovers required to keep everything working. I’m really glad my Remote Setup is only 75 feet away.
