Hi there! I’m looking for a website that offers real-time streaming of astronomical videos. Meaning an “astrobin” but instead of images, allowing amateur astronomers to post real time video feeds originated from their astro cameras?
I use YouTube for kids for my videos.
I’m not really up on streaming. My videos are often used by the local schools for Astronomy lessons. 5th grader stuff.
My reason for using YouTube for Kids is to avoid commenting, and to allow kids like my youngest Grand Daughters to enjoy space images.
I looked at live feed many years ago, but felt it was rather daunting for me. I’m happier putting together my short (<10 minute) videos and let kids access them for themselves. Or now, teachers looking for material to enhance their classroom presentations.
I can’t find it or remember the name now, but there is/was a network that anyone could join and while imaging the last image downloaded and general location were shown. Probably doesn’t help much, but Dylan O’Donnell talks about it in one of his videos from a couple years ago.
Not sure if that’s what you’re looking for.
Cheers,
Scott
Edit: Maybe not, just noticed you’re looking for livestream videos…..fwiw, many of the YouTube AP bloggers occasionally do livestream videos of themselves while imaging.
On occasion I’ll see people on Twitch live streaming astro photography. Night Skies Network still has a website. I have no idea if people still stream on there. Currently there’s nobody online it doesn’t look like.
If I was to live stream any of my numerous nights of imaging, they could use it to put insomniacs to sleep. 🥱🤣
It just sits there and updates an image in NINA every whatever-time-I’m-shooting-at for my file. VERY boring to watch. Glad I can put on my CPAP and sleep through most of it. 😉

You're probably thinking of Lightbucket.
