It’s a nice scope and if someone gave me one, I’m sure I’d be very happy. Of course, that’s not going to happen, that means I get to nit-pick.
I’m not sure what camera this is designed for but with a 39mm 100% illuminated field and 55mm corrected field, it’s bigger than full frame. This forces a very large 44% obstruction, most F/4 Newts are about 35%. This is going to reduce contrast.
Quartz mirrors are nice but not unusual and won’t give you a better image than any other material once thermally settled.
Fairy dust flocking….ok.
Structural CF tube, uhhh, ok.
1/8th wave (in what color light?) is good but at this price point and diameter I would expect a premium mirror, 10th wave or better.
If you have the camera that would demand the specifications this scope delivers then I would suspect that the price of the scope itself would be a minor point. If you don’t, then there’s no point in buying capability you’ll never use.
