We built a new website for our remote observatory: on one hand to advertise for renting available pears (there are three currently), but on the other and also to value better the work done there, each team has a standalone portal, see the teams sections.

Now as the builder of the website I really hope API is going to come back because the best flow for our users would be that they load first ton Astrobin and then they pull it on this custom website with no double work. Hence looking forward to the come back of the API!

Hi Alain,

Thanks for sharing the context. That workflow makes sense, and I understand why an API would be useful in your case.

At the moment, AstroBin’s public API is intentionally closed, and I’m not issuing new API keys. Maintaining a public API requires ongoing work and long-term support that I can’t commit to right now.

I do intend to revisit the API in the future if circumstances allow, but I don’t have a timeline, and projects should be planned without relying on it.

If and when this changes, it will be communicated through official AstroBin channels.
