If anyone here has used the iexos-100 with newts, how does it perform with something like a 130pds or a TS Photon 6” f5 (steel tube)? How would i go about balancing this correctly, and is the dovetail bar included with the 130pds long enough to achieve proper balance?


I would be using either of those with a TS-GPU coma corrector. For reference, ive been using this mount (pier-mounted) at just about 7kg payload (not counterweights, just gear) for the past few years. Guiding never exceeded 0.9” and usually stays between 0.3” and 0.7”. I did increase the stepper current from stock (0.6?) to 1A tho.
