On the last day of the year it is always a nice thing to look back and see what was accomplished. I have not seen a thread like this so far, so just starting with an invitation to all to share accomplishments.

For me, I was lucky enough to complete 76 deep sky objects. Mainly because of my remote setup that has much better weather conditions than my backyard. Also a bit cheating, as quite a few of them are clusters, which don't need as much exposure as faint nebulae or galaxies. But working my way through both the Messier and Caldwell catalog, I discovered they have quite a few of those.

Anyway, anyone interested to know more details, feel free to check this blog on my website. Here is the collage of all images taken this year:

It’s always interesting to read your blog, Willem! The “Mastering Flat Frames” series (Gain Matching being my favorite) hold a well-deserved place in my Awesome Astrophotography resources list. I would love to see more posts in 2026. Thank you for sharing.

Thank you, that is great to hear. Last year has been a bit quiet when it comes to published blogs, but hopefully 2026 will be a bit more productive on that front.
