Banding issues with R7 camera equipment - seeking user experiences

Anyone got experience with how bad the banding is on the EOS R7? I’ve done some reason online and i’m a bit disappointed to hear it’s one of the weaker cameras since it’s the only one I can use for the long term future.

Is it manageable with a lot of post processing or is it worth selling and getting something else?

Do you have some subs we can look at? Lights and calibration frames would be helpful.

What software are you going to be using to process your data with?

*Banding is a serious issue with a number of Canons so yes, probably the second option would be the easiest path.

Canon sensors are not really known for their astrophotography capability. An R7 would be hard to calibrate too, since it is uncooled. Sony sensors like the IMX 571 are significantly superior and give clean images. I say this as an R6 owner.

Ah, this is a bit disheartening, my skywatcher GTI is on the way and I have my R7 and sigma 100-400mm I was planning on using with it.

Since this is my first foray into astrophotography as a serious hobby I’ll see how results end up and then think about what to do from there.

I’m sure some post processing could at least clear it up a little?

Thanks for all replies so far to everyone

I wish I could say that is true, however; I have an early run of the SVBony 405CC with the Sony IMX294 sensor and it suffers from banding. I’ve learned to process it out with removing banding from flat darks and darks.
