I’m updating my website and I want to pull content from my Astrobin profile. However, I get the message:
We are not accepting new API key requests at this time.
Is this a temporary thing or what?
Great site - but would be better if I could connect programatically?

Hi Stewart,
At some point this year I decided to suspend new API keys for multiple reasons: I was getting too many requests for random things that wouldn't provide any benefits to the platform, I had no way to monitor how the API were used, some people used them to steal proprietary AstroBin data such as details in the equipment database, and bad actors were using them to scrape content using botnets to bypass rate limits.
I will accept new API keys in the future again once I'm improved their infrastructure, but this is not in the short term roadmap so I cannot make promises about expected time estimates.

ok - thanks for the response - such a shame there are so many bad actors out there :-/ I’ll look forward to it … I want to continue to use Astrobin as my default image gallery - but also wanted to incorporate it on my new website.
Put me down as an interested party as well. I'm interested in pulling info about my own images on a site I'm building.
