Hi everyone, I hope you all are doing well. I'm a newbie getting into astronomy and astrophotography. My journey began during the summer of this year actually. We moved into a new house and the whole family was laying on the porch stargazing. I kept looking up into the sky and noticed different colors (blue, green and yellow) flashing. I always knew there are some wonderful things out there however I was never fully engrossed with it. I would really love to learn more and progress my way into space. Shoot a reply on how I can get myself going. Thanks!

Hello, best regards from Holle, Germany. I started astrophotography last year and I'm totally excited about this hobby, which allows me to look into the past.
I look at the universe with great awe, the dimensions are indescribable.
In the beginning I made a lot of mistakes, but thanks to so many pictures and articles in Astrobin, I learned quickly.
Just start with astrophotography, over time you learn from your mistakes and the pictures get better from time to time.

Welcome @Talha19! There are a few of us here in the rainy west coast - I also live in Vancouver. This can be a bit of a frustrating hobby with the scarcity of clear nights here, but it's not impossible, especially if you're patient.
There are lots of videos and articles on how to get started in astrophotography, but basically you'll want a DSLR camera and a tripod, and ideally a tracking mount that will slowly move your camera at the same apparent speed of the stars across the night sky, so that you can take long exposures to bring out faint details. A lot of folks already own a DSLR, but the tracking mount can be expensive. There are some that are designed for cameras and lenses (or small telescopes) that are relatively inexpensive (often called star-trackers).

Hi from Australia. I'm very new to this wonderful experience too, about 3 months. What I found very helpful was some youtubes from people like "Nebula photos" and "Lukomatico" and "Martin's Astrophotography". There are no doubt many more but I found these particularly helpful in guiding me with equipment selection. It allowed me to short-cut that process and avoid spending a lot of money on equipment that I would need to replace before very long. Endless cloud here too so very frustrating trying to gain experience.

I own a Canon E0S 6d mark ii. Not really sure how it'll perform for astrophotography. I have no idea which lens to get, according to my research I came across the redcat 51 250mm lens which seems great, I also read a few reviews about it. I'm not sure if it'll be compatible with my camera though.
For the mount I'm planning of getting one of these 3
