Hello. I am from Ohio and have been away from astronomy for about 25 years. The last telescope I had was a Celestron C4.5 Firstscope. Before that was a refractor I had as a kid for many years from a Johnson Smith catalog (anyone remember those) and was a no name brand. My experience is beginner level and coming back to this after so long has been an eye opener. A reality shock actually. It seems I knew nothing before, lol.

My scope is a Dob, an Apertura AD8, which I have, but as it is a Christmas present from my wife, Christmas day is when I take possession of it. I have been allowed to have it out for brief periods, learning purposes, but nothing more. It is now packed away and ready for the big day.

Anyway... Hello to everyone!

I am also new here. Just found this website after hearing about someone finding a new nebula (This post)

I’m 26, been stargazing since I was a young kid. Recently got into astrophotography about a year or so ago with the SeeStar S50. Love that thing. Plan on upgrading to a proper rig at some point soon.

Hello everyone!
