Fairly new to astrophotography, only things I've done in the past are untracked milky way pictures after months of reading and having no idea about calibration frames at the time but was impressed with my first ever shot so I wanted more!!
I've recently purchased a SA 2i but haven't actually got round to using it, ever time I've set up, the clouds roll in but on the few occasions I've tried, my son has taken an interest so I'm already thinking of purchasing the GTi instead for the go to capabilities as I know my son would enjoy that as well as my neighbours kids if I manage to put a lightweight scope on it. I'm only shooting with a DSLR and know I've got a lot to learn so no doubt there will be plenty of questions over time and may be if my son decides to get into astrophotography as well, I'll eventually think of bigger upgrades for myself.
