So I own an EQstar double motor system. When I first installed it I owned Samsung phone and tablet, and I got everything to work as it should have.
Now after having been ignored in the storage shed for several years, I now own an iphone, and I cannot get it to work anymore. Without connecting the iphone the remote works as expected I think.
What I do is as follows:
Switch on the EQstar. Wait for the beeps and the RA motor to start.
Connect my phone to the EQstar wifi, which then says it is connected.
Then I open SynScan pro and click connect, it then gives the window with the device and ipaddress but it reports an "unexpected response"!
If I simply try to connect without first hooking the phone up to the EQstar wifi, it reports "cannot find device".
When I switch the EQstar on, it beeps a few times and after some second(s) it starts the RA motor, which i think is realtime (is this assumption correct?). When I try to connect the synscan app, sometimes the RA motor stops after the attempt to connect, but not always.
What could be wrong?
