PHD2 crashes when looping activated.

History: I switched out guide cameras and from that point on PHD2 crashes when looping is enabled. I have switched back to the original camera. I have deleted all astronomy software and reinstalled including NINA, PHD2, PHD2 Reader, ASCOM, camera drivers, Mount software and drivers… anything having to do with astronomy. To no avail. I hooked the rig up to a different PC running the same everything and it works as expected. I’m at the what the heck moment on this.

You posted in the wrong forum, I believe, but to answer your query: try connecting the camera/cameras with SharpCap and switch on looping (say 1 seconds) and see how it goes. That on the computer where PHD crashed. Use native drivers, please, not ASCOM.

The forum was AI’s choice, if I remember correctly. So was the title. And it ran the post as ‘waiting on moderator’ status.

I’ve run the complete system on two other NINA/PHD2 pc’s and they work. I just thought someone might have seen and cured this scenario. It’s going to be something soft in the offending pc, possibly driver. The problem started when I changed the ASI220 out with an ASI120 camera without deleting the profile in PHD2. I went ahead and it went apey and hasn’t come back.

Ask in the PHD2 group, I am sure they have had such issue before.

I came up with the idea that I would revert my PC back to a previous Restore Point. It crashed and burned. 🤣 So I have been rebuilding the PC from the ground up. What fun! Everything works now.
