Hello everyone,

Do you have any musical ideas to recommend?

I'm a fan of electric guitar blues. I always have a blues track playing when I'm creating.

I absolutely have to find it, otherwise I can't create. That's funny, lol.

Any ideas? Thanks for sharing. I like blues from all over the world, and you?

Clear sky.

Nathalie.

I'm a fan of electric guitar blues

You probably already know him, but just in case: Joe Bonamassa!

Hello Salvatore

Even before he was known here in France, he was discovered on American music programs.

Just like Beth Hart... ty Salvatore

Je vous conseille d’écouter à 2mn 08 petit solo qui décoiffe.

I recommend you listen to the little solo at 2:08 minutes that really rocks.😎

I'm sure not everyone likes the blues. Or that astronomy doesn't rhyme with this kind of music; we're all different.

We may or may not need a few notes of music sometimes to relax, soothe ourselves, clear our minds, get going, etc.

I worked hard on my last piece, I was pretty stressed too. And now I need to clear my mind to dive back into the next one, which resembles a spool of thread. But where am I going to start?

Come on, a little blues to help me observe it.

He's a legend like few others in the blues world and he's still in great shape for his age, great man.

Anything Stevie Ray Vaughan, and Jimi Hendrix has a great straight out blues album. Johnny Winter. Muddy Waters and Koko Taylor are more traditional favorites.

Cheers,

Scott

I’ll add Sonny Landreth along with any King (BB, Albert, and Freddie) to the excellent list of suggestions made so far.

Saw Lonnie and son Ronnie Brooks at Buddy Guy’s club in Chicago on the anniversary of SRV’s death. Most amazing blues set I’ve ever heard. All sorts of channeling going on…..

Cheers,
Scott

Hello Scott Yes, unforgettable SRV and Jimi, who hasn't listened to them? They live on in time, remain in our memories. They shaped the history of the blues and have survived the years. A must-have on your external hard drive. It's modern. lol

Ah yes, there, a great lady of the blues with her undoubtedly magical voice. I began to love the blues with her. I spent evenings listening to them as a duo under my headphones.

Yes, I agree with you John, they are all gigantic blues players, but now it leaves room for a lot of new artists who will be inspired by them and well, that's what I'm talking about the next generation.

Learned to work the telescope. I shoot just what I feel. Drink Scotch whisky--all night long. And die behind the mouse wheel.

Slightly off-piste but try some sitar music (some ragas) from S Asia, or ofc W African blues music (Ali Farka Toure, Toumani Diabate would be good jumping off points)?

Eric Clapton!! His album “Me and Mr. Johnson” . It’s more acoustic guitar than electric but…..It’s Robert Johnson played by Eric. You can’t go wrong!!

Tim Anderson avatar

Rory Gallagher definitely. Gone but not forgotten.

Listen to the Allman Brothers rendition of the classic T-Bone Walker song “Stormy Monday”. It’s on the “Live at Filmore East” album. Nothing better than that if you’re into blues 👍️

I've always loved George Thoroughood & the Destroyers!
One Bourbon, One Scotch, One Beer - Bad to the Bone - Madison Blues - Gear Jammer etc.
Saw his first concert in Australia in 1983 ( he did 4 encores, he didn't want to go home!) and again this year on his last tour of Oz.
Fabulous entertainer!
