After Meridian Flip ZWO AM5 Stops Tracking

Everything is fine, till I do the flip

Scopes: Stellarvue SVX130T / Flattner: SFFX3
Focusers: Feather Touch 3.5
Cameras: ASI2600MC Pro

Filter Wheel: ZWO 7 2" filters

Off Axis Guider: ZWO Lg OAG, ASI174MM
Controls: PrimaLuceLab Eagle5S
Mount: ZWO AM5

Everything works fine till I hit the Flip. Then tracking stops, when I go into the AM5 Program there is a check box that says tracking its normally Green with tracking. Once flip is done the green light goes off and when you click on the check box it goes on then goes off and won’t stay on. PHD2 is wailing away dinging it lost guiding.. Not sure whats up. All cables are out of the way and it has a counter 11lb counter balance. Any ideas would be appropriated thanks…

Other than this issue everything works fine…

Check to make sure your meridian flip settings in the AM driver are after the settings in the imaging software that triggers the flip. If not, the mount will stop tracking and the flip will fail.

You didn’t mention what imaging software you are using.

NINA? Sequence Generator Pro? Voyager? Prism? MaximDL? TheSkyX? etc.

That info can help us troubleshoot. As Keith said, the imaging software and mount settings must coincide. I had a similar, albeit different, issue that ended up being a hardware problem which was solved under warranty. Sounds like yours is a software issue at first glance.

Agree 100% with Keith and Ryan’s comments. Is this the first time this has happened? Have you been able to execute a successful meridian flip prior to this?

if you have a different controller other than the PLL Eagle I’d try that …

there is little smarts in the mount itself, more likely that something the the s/w stack

on the controller is at fault…

Could you share your meridian flip settings from NINA and AM5 driver utility

Good advice as this trips up a lot of folks. The window in the mount control software must be open before NINA commands the flip.
