Hello! I'm looking for advice or suggestions please.
I have reached the same old wall in comet processing.
I get to where I think I should be, which is:
I get an image aligned on the comet, and I get a star aligned image on the stars.
But when I try to blend them, the residue from the stacking process when aligned on the comet creates streaks in the final blended image.
Does anyone else experience, or have a solution for this?
Using PIX, DSS, PS, same result for me everytime

thanks,
Malcolm

Adam Block recently posted a video explaining how to get rid of those streaks. I successfully applied that during processing as I was also hit by that issue. The basic idea is to integrate all your images registered to the comet but without rejection! From the result you subtract the comet image and use that as a mask.
