I’m having a bit of object ADHD as of late, there are so many things I want to image but can’t make up my mind so I figured a cool little exercise would be to have everyone recommend something for me! Will be with my cdk set up and I am located about an hour outside of Pittsburgh, PA.

Really looking for something different and rarely imaged, something a little tougher!!

SO, bring on the suggestions!!!

It might be a bit small for your FOV, but I think it can be done. NGC 7009. Just saw a pretty good one and I depending on your horizon you could be able to get enough time on it yet this season.

For something fainter and very rarely imaged, you could try the PN candidate Fr2-15. I posted on it here - looks like there is only one image of it on anywhere on the Internet here. Narrowband surveys seem to show it has a cool structure.

oooo , the Saturn nebula!! that’s not even on my list, good idea!! A tad low but I should be fine, I usually get decent seeing where I am located

Ahhh I forgot about Stephans narrowband survey, great idea, I may just have to give this one a go. Well now I am even more unsure of what I should image haha

I’m currently imaging NGC 925, NGC 772, NGC 7129 and Dobashi 3919 in the Northern Hemisphere. If you have the seeing for them, the galaxies are neat little targets. Dobashi 3919 and NGC 7129 are my current HaLRGB projects, lots of overlooked reflection elements in Soul, should come out really nice.

NGC 1055 and it’s neighboring companion (I forget the designator) is a good one too. Most all of these galaxies will really require solid seeing conditions, but I presume with a CDK, you’ve evaluated seeing.

Well, almost as if on cue, some fellows published an awesome image of Fr2-15 here. Apparently, it's likely a ghost planetary nebula, like the OIII arc near M31 discovered a while back.

Sh2-187 is fascinating and not over-represented on AB

Stephan quintet. It's around 5 galaxies in the constellation Andromeda.
