Is pixel peeping an image that has been saved for web display on Astrobin a valid way of reviewing an image for IOTD? As an example, you may have a large file that you Resample from 2GB file to a TIFF, PNG or JPEG.

If someone submits their image for consideration, they should submit it in a state they are happy with.

If downsizing your image too small, and you don’t think its worthy of consideration in that state, don’t submit it, upload a full resolution, colour calibrated png, and upload it. Submit it, and after its gone through the iotd process, then upload a more viewer friendly, downsized revision for general consumption.
