Hi Everyone
Since I have started in this great hobby, I began printing my images on aluminum in 2020 and continued to do so to the present. While, I in fact have one entire wall in my home office decorated with astrophotography, I have also decorated my business office and my clinic rooms with my aluminum photography prints. One of my friends has seen these for years and then was very interested in me presenting them in a gallery at our local art center.
Fast-forward to now, the show is rapidly approaching and will occur from Mid Oct to early Dec. Currently, I have over 50 aluminum prints of my work from wide-field Milky Way and Northern light photography to planetary and solar images plus all the nebula and galaxies in between. These images are as small as 8 x 10 inches and is large as 24 x 36 inches.
The art center gallery has approximately 6 different rooms to display images. I plan to supplement my aluminum prints with some of my own pints on photographic paper with my medium format photo printer that prints up to 13 x 19 inches in some of the smaller gallery rooms. I plan to place the printed images on photo boards for the display. I plan to have small cards next to the images displaying key attributes and points of interests of the various photos.
I am reaching out to see if anyone has experience with doing galleries like this for Astrophotography or more traditional photography / art. Also recommendations for displaying photo prints.
Any and all advice is welcomed!
Clear Skies!
