Hello everyone! I’m reaching out because I’m feeling a bit lost when it comes to processing comet images taken with the Seastar.

This year, I captured two different comets, but I'm not sure how to process them.

I tried following the tutorial from Deep Space Astro, but with all the changes in Siril, it feels almost impossible to process the images properly.

I’m curious how you all manage it.

Is there another method you would recommend or any tips you can share?

I’d really appreciate any help!

I can't directly answer your question, but one thing that might help is giving more details about what you’re running into. For example, you could share a couple of your raw images, mention the settings you used, and link to the tutorial you followed. That way, people can see exactly where the problem might be. "Comet processing" can mean a lot of different things, so the more specific you are, the easier it will be for others to give you useful advice.

This is the tutorial I tried to follow in Siril by Dee Pspace Astro, but due to the new change, it seems almost impossible to do.

Naztronomy has a few youtube videos for stacking and processing your comet files. https://youtu.be/3XrdNxMqW9g?si=CiSWeOpJYKZ_7G2A
This is the one I use for my Dwarf 3. He does have a couple that he made especially for the Seestar, but I didn’t like how it turned out. But you can chose what one suits you better.. Naz is a great teacher. I’m a newbie to Siril but my comet images turn out amazing following the link to the video above..
