Hi everyone!

After the 2024 eclipse, I decided to write my own software to process images of total solar eclipses—mainly because I couldn’t find a tool that did what I wanted. So I made Umbra!

Currently, the program is in beta, free to use, and only available on Windows. The only feature at the moment is image alignment (relative to both the moon and the sun). I’m also actively working on new features—such as stacking, HDR composition, and advanced filters—which will address challenges unique to total solar eclipses.

I’d love feedback or suggestions, and if you have questions or want to chat about eclipses, feel free to join the Discord community.

Thanks for checking it out!
