Hi,

Anyone using the Optec hercules with OAG?
I am looking to use QHY OAG M pro and there isn't enough clearance. The helical focuser of the OAG interferes with the focuser.

Any had similar issue and found a work around for it?

Thanks,
Deepan

Im putting together my E160 setup. what you need is the pegasus indigo oag without the heleical focuser. Trouble is that pegasus discontinued it but you may find a retailer that still has it. I added an 11mm m54 spacer to the corrector. The indigo requires the 4mm m68 to m54 adapter. 15mm is enough to get you clearance, I believe. Im using the qhy 600 short back focus camera without the tilt adapter. There is a large e160 thread on this forum that will be helpful. 56.2mm back focus fills quickly.

Thanks, That's useful information.
I just replaced my pegasus OAG. Never expected this to be this complicated.

I was a bit lucky. I had a fault qhy600 that was replaced with one of the versions that allowed for only 7mm backfocus
here is what my setup looks like in back focus
qhy600sbfl. 7mm
ASG photon cage 3mm
ASG extra BF for tilt adjustment 1mm
qhy cfw 20mm
filters -1mm (for 3mm thick filters)
Pegasus oag 10mm
indigo M54F 4mm
M54 extender 11mm
total 55mm
This gives me 1.2 mm for adjustment
