Replace the power connector?

Has anyone replaced the main power connector on their Eagle5 computer?  What did you replace it with?  I am familiar with the process of soldering but I am not experienced; is this something I could do myself or would you recommend me take it somewhere?

Thanks.

Can you post a picture of what you want to replace?  That will make your question easier to answer for those of us who don’t have an Eagle5.

It is best to take it to an electronics repair shop if you have one near you.   The components are surface mounted and can be replaced but it takes someone with the skills and tools to deal with the surface mount style PCB connections used in modern electronics.

Why do you need to replace the connector? Is it damaged, or is there another reason for the change?

If you’re simply looking to swap out the power cable, you can purchase a replacement plug instead. These are standard components and widely available.

I have an Eagle3 myself, and the connectors appear to be the same.

One of the pins in the connector mounted on the Eagle's frame broke off.  This happened when I was unplugging my Eagle one night; the pin came out with the power cable.

hi

Here you have an image of your eagle, you will see the connector that you must replace, it is connected to a green connector pin, that connector is the Circular Metric Connectors m12 type, you just need to remove the nut, take it out and put the new one in and connect it in the same polarity.

Here I leave you the link to a website that sells it
