Hello,
I was wondering if anyone has achieved a successful motor controller update on an EQ6R Pro? Skywatcher seem to have recently released the firmware loader for Mac to their website, great I thought as I have no access to a Windows machine, however when I connected the mount to my M3 Mac via the usb port and run the installer/loader it doesn't identify any connection on the usb and if I run current MC version request all I get is an error message saying it can't find a motor controller.
The instruction sheet that goes alongside the installer says to use a Synscan usb dongle but I am under the impression that if you have a usb port already then this is not required as it seems to just convert the HC port into a usb b port.
Any help greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

You can maybe try to emulate a Windows Machine with VirtualBox or any other hypervisor which is available for MacOs. Normally it should be possible to bypass the USB connection from the host (your mac) to the guest system (your VM). Maybe that helps?
