Hi All,
Dave here, residing under Bortle 4/5 skies at 8400 ft (2560 m) elevation in the Colorado Front Range, 15 miles or so up the road from Colorado Springs. Been imaging now for a little over a year, basically since I retired from my engineering and software career in the summer of 2020. I'd been wanting to do astrophotography since I was a teenager, so doing this is the realization of a lifelong dream. Currently imaging with a OSC camera but planning to transition to mono imaging sometime in the next year or so. What I love about this hobby is that it allows me to continue getting my tech jollies, and there are never-ending learning opportunities. Plus, I might even find out I have an artistic/creative side!
Love seeing all your pics!
