I recently stumbled on the Sol’Ex and it seems like an interesting and much less pricy alternative to something like a Lunt. 

I am interested in hearing about other with experience using the Sol’Ex. 
Any good and/or bad experiences?

I haven't used it, but there's also another option, the SHG700 spectroheliograph.

I think all of the ex kits are a wonderful option. All three products are great ways to extend the hobby without breaking the bank.
