Hi everybody,
I have the opportunity to get a second hand QHY10c at a very interesting price.
Can someone owning it (or who owned it)  give me some feedback on that camera?
Thank you in advance.

Hi,

I still own it. In fact, the QHY10 was one of the best CCD one shot color cameras that have ever been built.
You can browse my images for lots of QHY10 images.
I can clearly recommend it. The only downside I figured out with my QHY10 was, that sometimes, the USB drivers crash.
But this is lets say in every 10th or so imaging session, so no real concern. As read noise is somewhat higher than with modern
CMOS cameras, you have to expose longer subs. For the QHY10, I am in the range of 300sec sub exposures.
The 1800sec I did in older images, are way too much. If you loose one, you loose 1/2 hour of integration time.
My ASI294MC Pro, for example, does very well with 60sec subs.

Thank you Markus for your “review”. It will support my decision.
What software do you use for acquisition?
If you don’t mind I will disturb you from times to times…
