Hi everyone,

As there is not yet a separate forum for the newly released ASIair256G, I post my question here - if an administrator likes to put it into another forum, please do so!

I use an ASI2600MC with the ZWO CAA on an iOptronCEM25EC with the ASIair256G. Alle components active and registered with ASIair. During the night, taking LDN1157, I did not observe it, but after stacking about 100subs next day, I found out, that the rotation of the camera changed during the night - gradually and continuously one sub after another - see screenshot of the stacked subs.

How can this happen? I wanted a certain orientation for the frame, which was correct at the beginning and then it changed.. never ever seen this before with an equatorial mount and other acquisition programs like NINA, APT or Voyager.

Have you got any idea why? What did I do not or wrong?

Thanks and CS
Georg

Hi,
are you sure, mount is running in EQ model? I would expect something like de-rotation in AZ mode.
Anyway - we are using here CAA with three different mounts in EQ and this "feature" never been spotted. There is many other issues with CAA, but not this..

The CAA, holding torque creeping low. Defective units exist.
