ZWO ASIAIR Pro Shutting Off - New issue since software upgrade

I am having issues with my ZWO ASIAIR Pro shutting off on me during the EAF process.

I have a complete ZWO setup:  6200mm pro camera, 5 slot 2” EFW, 120mm guide camera and the EAF.  My mount is skywatcher and is powered separately through a portable battery and not the ASIAIR pro.

since the recent ASIAIR software upgrade, I can’t seem to get the ASIAIR pro to work properly.  Every time I get my location, guiding and cooling setup perfect, the entire system reboots itself during the focusing stage and this  forces me to start all over again.

I don’t have any issues using the EAF when I focus manually using the controls.  It’s only when I run the autofocus software where the system gets hung up and reboots itself.

is anyone else running into this issue?

Before the software upgrade, everything was working for me perfectly.    This is a relatively new issue.

I have a different camera than you (ASI294MM Pro), but otherwise a very similar setup to you. For me, the ASIair Pro does not cause any problems even with the latest software. Therefore, the error is probably not in the ASIair OS.

Maybe your copy of the OS is broken? Did you make a backup before the update, which you can now import? Otherwise you need to download an image file and try it with that. You can find a guide to restore the ASIair OS here: https://astronomy-imaging-camera.com/manuals/How_to_Restore_ASIAIR_OS.pdf

Good luck!

Thanks.  Will try this when I have a moment.

Wouldn't be a power issue perhaps?  Do you have things plugged into the ASIAir Pro power output ports?  Try plugging those into the battery directly if possible to troubleshoot.

I had this exact same problem with my ASI294MC Pro after the software upgrade.  Problems during autofocus, and then the system would shut down.   It turned out to be a short in my USB cord.  The timing after the update was a coincidence.  I replaced the USB 3.0 cord and it works perfectly.

I ended up buying a better charger that puts out 5A instead of 2A, and it did the trick.

Just chiming in.  Different camera here.  2600MM and EAF was having issues after update.  First time I've ever had an issue.  I normally re focus every 30mins and it did well for about half the night.  I ended up homing and taking some darks for the library.  Power is 100% fine in my set up, nothing powered through asiair pro.  On the next clear night I will try to see what's going on.

Good luck.  It was a fussy issue for me to trouble shoot.  Hopefully, it starts working for you again.  I did see they pushed another software update for me last eve.
