I am standing in my front-yard, perfectly clear skies and dark today.
Looking to the west over my house, I can see what seems to be a small overly bright and fuzzy "cloud".

Thinking, that's strange, so I go indoor, up on my 1. floor, where I have clear sights to the west.
Watching this "cloud" come closer.

At one point, from the "cloud" appear what looks like a bright satellite, I am thinking, hmmm strange plane.
I take out my camera - Iphone 14 to take som pictures, as it has gone from a bright "satellite"/"Strange airplane" to have what I can best describe as 2 "butterfly" wings to each side.

So as I am a bit confused as to what I am looking at - I don't get the first part in images.
The light now moves over my house, and I take the following images.

Each image is handheld, 3 sec exposures.

Has ANYONE ever seen something like this????
The first 3 images are taken from 1 st. floor facing west.
The first image has the "blitz" on - hence the strange colour. But the object is visible.
The last image is where it disappeared again.
It moved in a straight line, at constant speed all the time.
As it moved away, I was thinking that it must be some object in orbit that made some strange atmospheric phenomenon.

Any input????

Yeh same here in Cannock West Midlands, Amazing to see I couldn’t believe my eyes haha.
I was the same as you, thinking it was a plane or something coming through the clouds that wasn’t planned for tonight.

For irresponsible billionnaires, it is so much fun to polluate the sky… Everything is permitted !

Don't you hate how things like this can be explained so easily and quickly. Where is the mystique in stange phenomenon anymore?

I get where you are coming from - a tiny part of me - looking at the sky last night, did indeed hope that it was something strange and mysterious. But then again, the ability to explain things fast, I guess and hope, is what got us out of the dark ages.....and hopefully will keep us from going in that direction again.
The current state of affairs in the world, however, might contradict that

I just found some great slides of a presentation by James Oberg about this topic:
https://satobs.org/seesat_ref/misc/Norway_Spiral_--_15_FAQS_final.pdf
There is an example of a similar event from 1983, besides the famous "Norway spiral" (which didn't happen in Norway) from 2009, for instance.
