This is the first image where I used bias frames and increased the offset on my camera from 1 to 160. The bias histogram was just off the left side of the histogram. The result is that this image has substantially more detail and depth than my previous work, and less noise. I'm not sure how much the bias frames contributes to that, but I think I understand now while my previous images had blotchy dark patches: I was clipping the dark pixels.
I think maybe the weakest part of this image are the stars, both color and brightness. I worry I over-sharpened them.
What do you think? What should I be doing to improve my images?
