I finally got up the courage to join Astrobin from some friends who were telling me to just do it.  So here I am.  While I have been into astrophotography for a little while, I only recently have been able to do it consistently.  It was a bit difficult to take my telescope aboard submarines!  Now I am living in middle GA post retirement from the US Navy, and work as an Electrical Superintendent for a manufacturer…it keeps my astro habits funded (as well as my other interest).  My wife says I really need to stop it with the expensive hobbies, but she keeps me around nonetheless.  Anyways, I am looking forward to participating in the community we all so passionately love to share and personally grow.

Clear skies,
Kevin

Welcome to AB!    I just retired from the CG myself.  … And yes this is an expensive hobby lol.   There's truly no limit either.

Side note, I'm impressed you grabbed Carina from Florida!

I'd imagine where most of us would be complaining about satellites, you probably had a few ships go through your frame

@Kyle Goodwin  I have yet to make it to Deerlick..My wife and friends went in and purchased a membership for me, but I never even got a chance to go!  Mega bummed, but still on my bucket list.

It’s a great spot. I wish I lived there, but sadly I only have my observatory there for now.
