SkyDecay
Hi everyone!
I’m excited to announce that I’ve finally published my website! You can find it at the link at the top of this post.
The website operates on a hosting platform, while the main code, written in Python, runs locally on my machine. At adaptive intervals, the system retrieves data on satellite re-entries from Space-Track and other online databases for other kind of events.
These data is then processed and, and possibly notified.
Notifications are handled via Telegram bots, which users can create and register directly on the site. Telegram bots offer a simple and efficient way to enable communication between the website and users, while keeping personal data secure. You won’t need to share sensitive information like passwords or email addresses, just your approximate location and the token of the bot you create.
The site is still under development, so not all functionalities are available yet. Additionally, I may need to temporarily stop the Python services for a few hours over the next few days for maintenance. However, you can already register a Telegram bot and explore data on imminent satellite re-entries.
For more information, visit the website! You’ll find tutorials, explanations, and documentation to help you get started. I’ll continue adding more resources and updates in the coming weeks.
If you have any questions or feedback, feel free to share them here, Your input is greatly appreciated!
