Just recieved theirs from Terrans Industry, it’s there new PowerBox pro V2, and it’s actually pretty much the exact same size as an ASIair, it will give you all the power and USB needs you could need, in this video I show the unboxing, features, connection and use in NINA, check it out, it’s a very very viable alternative to the expensive Pegasus Powerbox

Interesting little box. I'd rather the RCA ports for dew control, but it's nice how much USB they packed in to it.

These things are a great idea, especially for remote imagers. However, this warning gives me pause:

"Do not expose this device to excessively humid environments for a long time, as it may cause damage to the device itself and the connected devices. Direct intrusion of any liquid may cause damage to this device and the connected devices."

It seems that any high power device like this needs to be reasonably weather proof to really be reliable.

Hmmm, interesting, I reckon they are just being over cautious, as water ingress into the unit would be bad, as it would be on any other device like this on the market, the box is very well sealed, but I suppose it’s alway possible to get moisture inside through the port holes…., under heavy rain, but then why would you have this in the open during heavy rain, you wouldn’t, I don’t think any type of dew would be an issue through….👍🏻

I agree, it's a general issue. I often wonder about all the exposed USB connections that we have on our gear. You would never intend to leave your gear out in the rain but with all night, unattended sessions becoming common, it can happen.

Yea agreed, it’s something I would never do, I like to be there all the time, it’s part of the fun for me…but I bet what you mean…👍🏻
