Optolong LRGB and 3nm SHO

Hello,

I’m thinking of buying a new camera.

At the moment, I’m using an IMX571 color and an IMX533 color.
Sometimes, I use an SVBony SV220 filter to get DNB data.

Now, I want to start using mono because I believe it will make a huge difference, especially for SHO imaging.

I’m considering buying a Touptek 571 mono along with the new Touptek 7x2" filter wheel.
The only thing I still need is a filter set.

At first, I thought about Antlia or Astronomik filters, but they are quite expensive.
On the used market, I found an Optolong LRGBSHO set at a good price.
Additionally, the SHO filters have a bandwidth of only 3nm, which would be really expensive with other brands.

What do you think of these filters?
Should I buy them?

The alternative would be to buy only an LRGB set from Astronomik or Antlia for now and get the SHO filters later.

Greetings
Brian

I have this exact set of filters, and find them excellent, I use them with my QHY268, IMX571 mono camera, I had the 6.5nm version before these, and they were very good too, so personally I recommend them..👍🏻

Thanks for your reply.
I can get the set for 800€, I think its a good deal then.

Do oyu had any issus with halos on bright stars like in the horse head nebula?

Well, you have picked one of the worst stars there, so yea you will get halo’s on Alnatak for sure, but unless you spend €3000 or more then you alway will with any filters…👍🏻

But with "normal" bright stars there are no problems?
I have seen filter sets wich hat problems with brighter stars in the heart nebula for example.
