Hi people,

I have tried a new approach that might be helpfull/interesting for you to try as well.

It is about the color balance of the surfaces of our planets.
Instead of using the well-(probably?)-known process of balancing color in Registax with Jupiter's RGB values I decided to experiment more and got something more pleasing, than just the boring red hue for Mars or yellowish-orange for Saturn.

So the workflow I had:
  1. Stacked and derotated as usual. Did not color balance, so my megastack is green.
  2. In PixInsight extracted background with the Automatic DBE from SetiAstro. SNR of the image is increased, excessive green from my OSC is reduced.
  3. In Registax did RGB Balance to the image using the saved Jupiter's RGB values. I have used same camera and same WRed and WBlue for both planets in Firecapture.
  4. In AstroSurface performed W-Balance on the image.
  5. Sharpened and denoised as usual.

Natural, using Jupiter's value in Registax

Unless it's for scientific reasons, I don't know why you want such unnatural colors.
