Hello,

My name is Mårten, and I live in Sweden, Örnsköldsvik, at 63 degrees north. I have been in this hobby since late 2021 and decided to build my own observatory just to get the most out of every possible hour of clear skies. Been a member here since the start, but just recently started using it as a paid member for my images. I like to make videos on my YouTube channel, astro related that is, if you want to check it out.

I have fairly modest equipment at the moment, Sky-Watcher Evostar 80ED Pro and ASI294MM Pro camera. I try to get at least 15-20 hours on every image, so not that many images per season. I'm also into northern lights, saving up for a good mirrorless camera and lens for that. All images are on my website as well.

See you around!

Hej Mårten!
I’ve seen your videos, specifically the ones were you are building your observatory ( it was looking for such videos that I discovered your channel). Your build is fantastic! Very compact and perfectly integrated with the style of your house!
Yeah in our latitudes (Göteborg) and with the weather we have, an observatory is almost a must to have to use every hour of clear sky as possible.
Välkommen! Även om du redan varit medlem i 3 år🙂
