Weird Banding - ASI 2600MC Pro - Forums

I've recently started using a 2600MC Pro, and find that I get coloured banding around the edges of my images.. in some it is much more noticeable than in others. Any ideas what would be causing this artifact? You can see it pretty clearly along the right sides of this image, but it's faintly there along the left as well.

I'd appreciate any thoughts!

Hi Shawn,

I had the same issue on my 2600mmPro. I was the thermal grease between the sensor and the cooling pad had leached onto the front of the sensor. Take a good look with a flashlight on the sensor and see if you can see it…. I could very easily. I had to take the front of the camera off and clean the sensor with alcohol to get the grease off. If you cant see any grease try running you camera at 0C and see if it is condensation/frost forming on the sensor… if not then try again at you normal temp and see if it forms then. I hope this helps…
