Hi,

as I live in a very light polluted village and I have to hide my telecope behind a bush so the laterns don't shine in my telscope directly, I can't photograph Deepsky objects because even at 40h exposure time the image is very noisy. I know there are some light pollution filter out there but I thought about explore the night sky in scientific sense. I'm really curious about mesuaring the distance to some asteroids or calculate the size of exoplanets (wich is indeed possible!). I only have one problem: To calculate the distance to asteroids, I need several measuring points on earth to measure the parallax. So:
Are there any astrophotographers out there who can acchieve a sampling of about 0.4 to 0.8 "/px and who want to take part of this project? We also could do Deepfields. I've already tried a Deepfield and at this sampling, almost every corner in the night sky (except the milky way region) has some galaxy in it. So, what do you say?

Hi,
I know but I wanted to measure the distance to some asteroids to calculate the path that it follows. Maybe we could discover new asteroids and comets and predict were they are in a few weeks or even months.
