As I announced a few days ago, I'm working on a new user gallery experience. Please do read the details here:

Before I start deploying for people to opt-in, I would love it if some of you tested it for a while and reported any bugs or things that I might have missed.

Thanks Andy, I'll enable to you as soon as it's ready! In case you have major issues and you'll want to turn it off, you'll be able to do it in your preferences.

I think that initially it's better to report problems here so others can see them and not report the same.

I should be ready in a few hours to enable this for you.

For users who opt-in to the new gallery experience, all image links will be automatically redirected to the new image viewer.

Thank you, Salvatore, this is a great feature! I think that many of us users created external links pointing the images and it would’ve been a pity to have all this references lost.

Yes, of course I'm not going to break tens of thousands of external links pointing to AstroBin images on forums, social networks, people's personal websites, etc :-)

Hi all,

apologies for disappearing for a few days, I need a bit more time before taking your time to test things. Everything is pretty much ready but to make things proper I need to port the front page too to the same technology stack (the single-page web app on app.astrobin.com). The reason is that I want to have as many things as possible there, because when you navigate between pages on the app* website, everything is ridiculously fast. But if you need to go back and forth between the www* website and the app* website, then it's not as good.

The front page is the only thing now that would make you jump too often, besides the forums (but in that case I think it's okay for now).

I'll inform you when the option to test is available to you!
